Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won many grants and has been honored with several international and national prizes. She has provided advice on policy and research to many agencies and departments around the globe. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
